A Community That Fits

Life at Fontecha Institute(Hialeah)

It never takes long for students to feel at home.

The size, community, services, and location of FIH's are ideally combined to offer you a learning environment that feels welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and warm. Picture yourself meeting new friends, making discoveries, working hard, and exploring Halifax, the beautiful city by the sea. And that's all in your first few weeks.

Nevertheless, university life can be a big adjustment, of course. From Welcome Week events to societies and clubs, FIH's offers a helping hand when you need it most.

With more than 50 campus societies, there's something for everyone - from subject-based groups like Biology, Accounting, and Classics, to those organized around politics, social issues, research, volunteering, and other shared interests.

Of course, the other community that could add a lot of value to your FIH's experience in athletics. The FIH's Huskies is one of the most successful university athletics programs in Eastern America. We offer 9 varsity teams to get involved with:

  • Basketball
  • Cross-country
