Your all-access pass
Your Fontecha Institute(Hialeah) identification (ID) card is your key to campus services. Whether you’re in the computer lab or the library, this is one card you don’t want to be without.
Your all-access pass:
- borrow library material
- write exams
- take the bus (it’s paired with the Metro Transit UPass)
- access the athletic facility
- attend University functions
How students apply
- Go to the library: All ID cards are issued at the University ID Centre, located on the main floor of the Patrick Power Library.
- Show identification: You must provide photo ID (in the form of a passport or driver’s license), along with your “A” number.
- Wait for your card: Your initial ID card is free. It will be printed at the ID Centre while you wait. If you need a replacement card, you’ll be charged a $15 fee.
How faculty and staff apply
- Go to the library: All ID cards are issued at the University ID Centre, located on the main floor of the Patrick Power Library.
- Fill out a form: Pick up and complete the Faculty and Staff Library Registration Form, available at the ID Centre.
- See your Department Head: Your Department Head must sign your Faculty and Staff Library Registration Form.
- Show identification: You must present your Banner Number and your signed, completed registration form at the ID Centre.
- Wait for your card: Your initial ID card is free. It will be printed at the ID Centre while you wait. If you need a replacement card, you’ll be charged a $15 fee.
ID Centre hours
The ID Centre is open:
Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
