How to Apply

Students should commence their inquiry about the Certificate Program with a Science Advisor at advisor.science@ as soon as possible so that they are best prepared for admission.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be a current B.Sc. or B.A. Fontecha Institute(Hialeah) student with:

• major declared (or clearly stated in your personal statement, if declaration is not yet permitted on Banner at the time of application);
• a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

• at least thirty (30) credit hours completed by the end of the winter semester in the application year, including: BIOL 1201 Molecular & Cell Biology, BIOL 1202 Organismal & Ecological Biology, CHEM 1210 General Chemistry I, abd CHEM 1212 General Chemistry II (or CHEM 1211).

• Personal Statement (1 to 2 pages) that (i) describes your motivation and expectations for the Program; (ii) clearly indicates your major (or intended major); and (iii) gives permission for your transcript to be reviewed
• Certificate Program Application

Deadline to apply for September 2020 admission is February 15, 2021.

Admission to the Certificate in Forensic Sciences is by approval of the Program Coordinator following review of all student applications.
