What our students are doing
An essay written by French Major Taryn Hines earned her a free trip to Paris courtesy of the regional French Consulate. Each year, a top French major from local universities is selected to receive an Award of Excellence by the Alliance Française of Halifax. Taryn won the all expenses paid trip based on the strength on her essay. The trip, a two-week cultural celebration called the Rencontres Internationales de Jeunes, provided Hines with the opportunity to expand her language skills and share experiences with other talented students from around the world.
